Lake Antholz
Pearl of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park

At the end of the Antholz Valley, in the middle of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park, lies the blue-green, romantic Lake Antholz. A nature discovery trail leads around the 44 ha large and 35 m deep lake (approx. one hour's walk); it is the third largest lake in South Tyrol. Numerous inns invite you to stop for a bite to eat. In addition, various hikes and mountain tours can be undertaken from Lake Antholz - e.g. Steinzger hut, Staller Saddle, Rotwand peak, Hinterbergkofel peak, Almerhorn peak, Barmerhütte hut...

The adventure trail explains the flora and fauna of the area around the lake in a vivid way. Here we learn interesting facts about the most important rocks, the forces of nature, the tree species - a tour for all senses and all ages.
