The family-friendly Riepen ski lift

The character of the wintery Antholz Valley is also reflected in the winter sports activities that can be done here, between Niederrasen and Antholz Obertal. Quite natural, quite quiet, idyllic and gentle, the Riepen slope stretches across the moderately steep slope between the coniferous trees. The Riepen slope is part of the Kronplatz ski area and can be skied with the Kronplatz or Dolomiti Superski ski pass.

Anyone who thinks that there is no comfort on the small piste in the Antholz valley is thoroughly mistaken. There is a ski rental shop at the foot of the T-bar lift, but it offers much more equipment than the name 'Huski Sports Rental Riepen' would suggest: from alpine skiing to cross-country skiing, from snowshoes to tobogganing, you can find everything here.

A small snow park for freestylers and piste acrobats, a kids' park for little ski bunnies and piste dodgers and a fun mogul slope make the Riepen slope a winter leisure park suitable for families. And there is also a ski school here. With ideal equipment and practised turns, you are finally prepared for the 'big ones' of the Kronplatz holiday region. After all, the skiing area of the same name is just around the corner.

The Kronplatz Holiday Region serves up three separate ski areas at once.  As different as the three may appear to be, they do in fact have a few things in common – and not just the scenery of high, white mountains.

A day on the slopes in Kronplatz really does offer everything you could wish for on holiday. This mighty mountain between Bruneck-Brunico, St. Vigil and Olang has 32 state-of-the-art lifts serving 119 km of pistes catering for all abilities: beginners, cruisers and experts. Intermediate skiers will appreciate the wide runs down into the valley, while ambitious skiers and snowboarders can test their mettle on the Black Five. The resort's team of professional piste groomers ensures that visitors enjoy excellent conditions throughout the season.

To reach the ski area, rest assured that it is possible to do without the use of a personal car. The ski buses circulate regularly between the villages and the valley terminal of the ski lift facility Olang-Gassl.
