Varied circular hike from Niederrasen via the Rauterhöfe farms, Redensberg, Nasen and Neunhäusern, returning to Antholzertal.
The Rauterberg circular hike is a varied tour around Niederrasen, combining forest trails, farms and several small villages into a diverse circular route.
From Niederrasen, the route first leads to the Rauterhöfe farms and then continues through the forest to Redensberg. From there, it descends to Nasen and returns to Niederrasen via Oberraut and Neunhäusern.
The hike stands out for its varied route and the many beautiful views over Antholzertal and the Pustertal Valley. Due to its longer distance, it is particularly suitable for hikers with a good basic level of fitness.
The starting point is Niederrasen. From there, the route first passes the Pfaffingerhof farm. After crossing the Antholz Valley road, continue to the edge of the forest.
Here, follow the village circular trail to the left until the narrow trail no. 8 branches off towards the Rauterhöfe farms. From there, forest road no. 22 leads through the forest to Redensberg.
In Redensberg, trail no. 19 branches off to the left and leads down to Nasen. From there, follow the paved road uphill along trail no. 19A in the direction of Oberraut.
After approximately 2 km, the trail to Neunhäusern branches off to the right. There, cross the main road and then follow the cycle path back to Niederrasen.
