The Antholz Mittertal High Walk is a varied circular hike above Antholz Mittertal that combines waterfalls, alpine huts and scenic forest and panoramic trails into a particularly diverse tour.
The route first leads to the Egger farms and then past the impressive Klammbach waterfall to Bergeralm hut. Above the alpine hut begins the actual high trail, which runs through peaceful forest and mountain landscapes and repeatedly offers beautiful views over the Antholz Valley.
A short additional detour to Kumpfl Alm hut is especially worthwhile for a relaxing break. The hike is ideal for experienced hikers and nature lovers looking for a varied circular tour.
The starting point is the festival area in Antholz Mittertal.
From there, the trail first leads to the Egger farms. Here, there is the possibility of a short detour to the Egger waterfall (approx. 15 minutes additional ascent, return via the same route).
Afterwards, follow trail no. 12 past the Klammbach waterfall and continue to Bergeralm hut.
Above Bergeralm hut, the actual Antholz Mittertal High Walk branches off to the left. Continue following trail marker no. 12 through peaceful forest and panoramic sections.
Below Kumpfl Alm hut, the trail meets the forest road again. From there, a short additional ascent of about 10 minutes to the alpine hut is highly recommended.
The forest road then leads back to the Egger farms and further down to the starting point in Antholz Mittertal.
Of course, the circular hike can also be completed in the opposite direction.
From the Pustertal road, turn into the Antholz Valley and drive to Antholz Mittertal.
