The hike from Antholz Mittertal to the Egger Waterfall is a short and rewarding tour in the Antholz Valley, ideal for families and leisure hikers. The route leads through a მშვიდ and scenic landscape to an impressive waterfall, offering a refreshing natural experience, especially on warm days.
From the festival ground in Antholz Mittertal, you reach the Eggerhöfe farm, where refreshments are available. From there, a short detour leads to the Egger Waterfall, which can be reached in about 15 minutes.
The tour can be extended if desired: from the Eggerhöfe, further hiking options lead to the Klammbach Waterfall or to serviced alpine huts such as Kumpfl Alm hut, Berger Alm hut or Schwörz Alm hut.
The return follows the same route.
The starting point is the festival ground in Antholz Mittertal. From there, follow the path towards the Eggerhöfe, which are reached after a short walk.
At the Eggerhöfe, refreshments are available. From the bridge, the path to the Egger Waterfall is signposted. The waterfall is reached after about 15 minutes along a partly slightly ascending trail (narrow path, not suitable for strollers).
The return follows the same route back to the Eggerhöfe and then to the starting point in Antholz Mittertal.
Variants:
From the Eggerhöfe, the hike can be extended, for example to the Klammbach Waterfall or further to serviced alpine huts (Kumpfl Alm, Berger Alm, Schwörz Alm).
From the Pustertal road, turn into Antholz Valley and follow the road to Antholz Mittertal.
