The hike to Laner Alm hut (not managed) is a secluded tour above Oberrasen. The trail leads through shady forest and, in the final section, follows a forest road steadily uphill to the idyllic alpine hut.
Laner Alm hut is surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery and is an ideal destination for those seeking a hike away from the busy tourist routes. The peaceful atmosphere along the trail is especially enjoyable.
Those wishing to continue can extend the hike up to Rammelstein peak, where magnificent panoramic views await.
The starting point is the Oberrasen barbecue area.
From there, follow trail marker no. 4B uphill through the forest. Once the path meets the forest road, continue along it with a pleasant incline up to Laner Alm hut.
The alpine hut is not managed, but it offers a lovely resting place in peaceful surroundings.
Extension possibility:
From Laner Alm hut, the hike can be continued up to Rammelstein peak.
The return follows the same route back to the starting point.
From the Pustertal Valley road, turn into the Antholz Valley and continue to Oberrasen.
Sturdy hiking shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, as well as sufficient water and snacks are recommended. A good level of fitness is required for the additional summit ascent to Rammelstein peak.
