The hike to the Earth Pyramids of Platten is a varied tour. These impressive natural formations are among South Tyrol’s most famous geological attractions and offer a unique nature experience.
The trail leads from loc. Redensberg through peaceful forest sections to the viewing platform of the earth pyramids. Especially in the final section, beautiful views open up over the bizarre clay formations with their characteristic protective stones.
The tour is suitable for experienced hikers and can also be started from Niederrasen or Oberrasen.
The starting point is loc. Redensberg (above Niederrasen). Alternatively, the hike can already begin in Niederrasen or Oberrasen.
From Redensberg, first follow trail marker no. 4 and then hiking trail no. 1A.
From Aschbach, continue along trail no. 17A. Afterwards, the route joins trail no. 1A again, which finally leads to the viewing platforms of the Earth Pyramids of Platten (municipality of Percha).
The last section of the trail is slightly steeper up to the viewpoint.
The return follows the same route back to Rasen.
From the Puster Valley road, turn into the Antholz Valley and continue to Niederrasen before heading uphill towards Redensberg.
