The circular hike from Antholz Mittertal to Lake Antholz is an easy and varied tour in the upper Antholz Valley. It runs along both sides of the valley through peaceful natural surroundings and offers beautiful views of the Rieserferner mountain group.
The ascent follows the right side of the valley, while the return route runs along the opposite side, making this a particularly diverse circular hike. The destination is the picturesque Lake Antholz, one of the region’s most beautiful natural highlights.
Several refreshment options are available around the lake. An additional walk around the lake is highly recommended to enhance the overall experience.
The tour is ideal for families and those looking for a relaxing hike. Alternatively, it can be done as a one-way hike with a return by bus (line 431).
The starting point is Antholz Mittertal. From there, follow trail no. 1 along the right side of the valley towards the lake. The path ascends gently through forested and open sections.
After some time, you reach Lake Antholz (approx. 1,640 m).
Variant:
You can also walk the lake circuit trail, which loops around the entire lake and offers many scenic viewpoints.
For the return, follow trail no. 11 along the left side of the valley back to Antholz Mittertal.

The hike can also be done one way, with a convenient return by bus line 431.
From the Puster Valley road, turn into the Antholz Valley and continue to Antholz Mittertal.
