Is it possible to draw light? What approach should an illustrator take when tasked with such an abstract theme? Light, nature, mountains, air, space, the colour white... Light can be all these. But it can also just represent an idea. This was the inspiration behind the concept of our exhibition DRAW THE LIGHT, the first ever show devoted entirely to illustration at the LUMEN Museum of Mountain Photography. Artists participating in the first Ripido Festival are up for the challenge. Each one is expected to put their own, unique spin on the theme. Observing each artist alighting upon a different idea is truly special. As are the uniquely creative interpretations which arise from such an abstract theme. The end result is a series of unique pieces designed and created exclusively for the space.
