Since 1978, the IBU Biathlon World Cup has been held here every January. The picturesque Antholz Valley is a paradise for cross-country skiing fans, offering 60 kilometers of diverse trails in winter – and ideal conditions for roller skiing or high-altitude training in summer.

Spectaculars – "Stoanerne Mandln"

At five roundabouts in South Tyrol – including the entrance to the Antholz Valley – up to five-meter-high “Stoanerne Mandln” made of local stone will be erected. The Olympic rings in the five colors green, yellow, red, black, and blue will be engraved into them.

In South Tyrol, these stone figures have a long tradition as signposts in alpine terrain. They blend harmoniously into the landscape, will guide visitors to the competition venues during the Olympic Games, and will remain afterwards as a lasting symbol of cultural heritage.

Olympic Torch Relays

On 27 January 2026, the Olympic Torch will pass through South Tyrol as part of its journey across Italy.

A special highlight will be its stop at the Biathlon Centre in Antholz, where the flame will be honoured in a ceremonial celebration.
