This pleasant winter hike connects Niederrasen and Oberrasen and leads through the snow-covered water adventure park "Wasserwaldile". From the edge of Niederrasen, the route first passes through the quiet forest before continuing along the groomed winter hiking trail across open meadows to Oberrasen.
The combination of snowy woodland, wide meadow landscapes and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains makes this a particularly varied route. From Oberrasen, you can comfortably return by bus or extend the walk on foot back to Niederrasen.
The starting point is the Hinteraue bus stop in Niederrasen. After the last house in the village, the path enters the water adventure park Wasserwaldile and climbs gently through the snow-covered forest.
At the end of the Wasserwaldile, the groomed winter hiking trail branches off towards Oberrasen. Follow it across the meadows to Oberrasen and then down into the village as far as the church.
From Oberrasen, you can take the public bus back to Niederrasen. Alternatively, follow the pavement along the road back to the starting point.
Take bus line 431 from the Olang-Antholz train station or from Lake Antholz to the stop “Niederrasen, Hinteraue”.
