This varied circular hike connects the two villages of Antholz Mittertal and Antholz Obertal, leading through idyllic stream landscapes, peaceful forest paths and sunny sections past traditional farmsteads. The route first follows the valley up to Antholz Obertal and then returns to the starting point along scenic trails.
Along the way, you can enjoy beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the characteristic landscape of the Antholz Valley. The contrast between shaded forest sections and open stretches makes this hike especially appealing.
The hike is ideal for those looking for a moderately difficult circular tour with a varied route and pleasant refreshment stops.
The starting point is Antholz Mittertal. From here, the path first leads along the right side of the stream to the Riederhof farm. Then follow trail no. 1, passing the Camping Antholz and continuing up the valley towards Antholz Obertal.
In the area of Antholz Obertal, the path turns right and leads past the Landheim to the main road (bus stop “Antholz Obertal, Müller”). After crossing the road, follow the paved road briefly, pass a few farms and soon reach trail no. 11.
Follow this trail slightly downhill at first and then gently uphill to the Egger farms (refreshment stop). There, you rejoin the road and follow it downhill.
The path finally leads to the Antholz sports area and from there back to Antholz Mittertal and the starting point.
From the Pustertal road, turn into the Antholz Valley and drive to Antholz Mittertal.
