The ski tour to Rotwand starts at Antholz Lake, leads over Staller Saddle and continues through the wintry Agsttal valley to the summit. This longer tour combines a steady ascent with impressive views of the snow-covered mountain scenery at the head of the Antholz Valley.
As far as Staller Saddle, the route follows the groomed winter hiking trail and the pass road. From there, the tour continues along trail no. 7 through the Agsttal valley up to Rotwand. As the altitude increases, the terrain becomes more alpine and opens up impressive views of the surrounding peaks.
The tour requires good physical fitness, experience in winter terrain and sound knowledge of how to assess current snow and avalanche conditions.
