The hike from Antholz Niedertal to the peak Amperspitze (2,687 m) is a varied and scenic mountain tour in the inner Antholz Valley. The route leads through quiet forests and alpine pastures into high alpine terrain.
Starting in Antholz Niedertal, the trail passes farms and forest roads to Neuhütte, then continues via Dorfmüller Alm hut and Niedertaler Ochsenalm hut– both unstaffed alpine huts in a peaceful setting. As altitude increases, impressive views of the Rieserferner Group open up.
From Ampertörl, the alpine section begins, leading to the summit of Amperspitze, which offers fantastic panoramic views. The return follows the same route. The tour requires good fitness and sure-footedness but is not technically difficult.
The tour starts in Antholz Niedertal. Crossing a bridge, you reach Hellsteinerhof farm and continue to the Rauthöfe (partly accessible by car).

The trail then climbs to Ampertörl, a scenic mountain pass. From here, a mountain path leads to the summit of Amperspitze (2,687m). The final section is steeper and requires sure-footedness.
