The Rasner Möser biotope

There is a special nature experience waiting for you amidst the picturesque landscape of the Antholzertal valley: the Rasner Möser biotope in the locality of Oberrasen/Rasun di Sopra. The moorland represents an ideal spot for relaxing walks, exploring nature or surprising your children with a trail filled with discoveries! The 23-hectare wetland, which is open to the public all year round, has been classified as a protected area since 1973 and is home to a great variety of flora and fauna. Two circular paths will lead you through this diverse landscape during your discovery-rich excursion and... well, you may spot one or another of its inhabitants, such as the purple marshlocks or the carnivorous drosera (which is rarely found in South Tyrol), the white wagtail, the alpine newt or the common frog.
